In order to expand the deforestation programs (PRODES) and the detection of alerts (DETER), INPE has developed a spatial data infrastructure called TerraBrasilis to facilitate the data visualization and access as well as the stats related to them. By means of Web-based Geographic Information System and interoperability standards, TerraBrasilis offers decision support system functionalities.

It also provides APIs to mitigate the burden on analyzing such spatial data in analytical environments such as R. The beta version of the platform was announced at the 19th Remote Sensing Brazilian Symposium (Figure 1).
