DETER - dissemination of alerts

The expansion of the real-time deforestation detection system - DETER, will now provide alerts on changes in vegetation cover in the Pantanal biome and in non-forested areas of the Amazon starting in 2023.

The data, in Shapefile format, can be obtained in the TerraBrasilis download area from 11/08/2023..

Attention: this is experimental data in the testing and adjustment phase and therefore may be changed in part or in full.

Brazilian Biomes Monitoring Program

The BiomasBR Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation that meets the needs of government sectors responsible for controlling deforestation, vegetation fires, and land management, and civil society, to demonstrate environmental compliance.
